So...yeah. Officially, I'm still employed through May 3rd. Last paycheck one week after that. Severance equal to 7 weeks pay 60 days after May 3rd, plus they'll pay one month of the cobra cost.

So, that should cover my rent for the next 5 months, possibly more depending on how much they take for taxes. I can empty my 401k after May 3rd, and that should pay my car payment for the same period, plus give me the amount I need to pay off a few things, which makes unemployment livable for the time being.

I probably won't begin to look just yet. Preliminary glances shows me I was seriously undervalued/underpaid where I was.

I'm gonna need to dig up my resume I guess. I hate looking for work.

I'm mostly okay with this. Mostly. I kind of saw it coming. I'm gonna take the next few days to week to just relax, and get serious about looking after that.

But, in the meantime, if anyone needs photos taken, tarot cards read, stories written, etc...I've got plenty of time.

Yeah. I will write most fandoms if I'm familiar with them, and original fic, plus I can do web content, editing, etc. My strengths are in angst and dark fic, character development and world building. In editing grammar, punctuation, readability and flow.

General prices for writing are:
$10 = 1000 words
$20 = 2500 words
$30 = 3500 words
$50 = 6000 words
$75 = 9000 words
$100 = 12000 words

Editing:
$10 = 2000 words
$20 = 5000 words
$30 = 7000 words
$50 = 10000 words

Sorry to hear about your job. I'm glad they're at least giving you a decent severance package and paying your health insurance for a month—that all really makes a difference in the long run.
