...and then I esploded...

Yesterday was a full day. I was talking to my dad on the way home and totally forgot I was going to get quarters and laundry soap, so I had to turn around and go back. Then as I was leaving the bank with quarters, I got an email from a guy about a thing...
I've been waiting for this email for nearly two weeks, and it was a positive sounding email, so I knew that the next step needed to happen. I needed to go see this joint and maybe get a few pictures. So I texted a friend to see if she wanted to go grab a beer with me at this joint that I needed to check out.
Thus we ended up at 5:30 on a Tuesday at a place called The Bistro in downtown Hayward. It's really a local dive bar. Functional, smallish, odd mix of clientele, pretty friendly regulars and the guy at the bar was nice. Took some pictures, talked cameras with a guy at the bar, petted a very friendly pup, drank a VERY tasty stout that had almost no bitterness and no back bite.
Friend talked me into dinner at the local Indian joint. MMMM...Indian foods. I had Chili Chicken. SOOO good. Just the right amount of heat. The service wasn't the usual awesome, but they looked really understaffed.
And then I got home, got the pictures of the Bistro sent off where they needed to go for the thing I can't really say much about and suddenly it was bed time.
Today we're apparently having an "employee thank you" lunch put on by the exec staff.
The OTHER email I'm waiting on hasn't come. I'm trying to be patient, but...patience is not my strong suit. Good vibes for the best outcome (whichever way that falls) appreciated.
I seem to be very cryptic lately. Sorry about that.
Soon. I promise. Soon.

So...if you had endless money:
1) Where would you live?
2) What kind of car would you drive? Or would you have your driver drive you in?
3) What kind of charity would you support?
4) What business would you be in?
5) Where would you go on vacation?
6) Would you adopt kids? Animals? How many?
7) Would you hide how much you were worth, or wear it on your sleeve?
8) Would you adopt me?
9) What would you give your closest (emotionally) relative for their next birthday?
10) Where would you throw your next party?

Date: 2013-03-13 08:10 pm (UTC)1] I would live on Ceres base, located at the Earth-Moon L5 point... at least it would be by the time I was done.
2] I'd drive this one (http://bayourenaissanceman.blogspot.co.uk/2011/11/this-gives-me-warm-fuzzies.html)...
3] I'd set up a foundation to fund research science globally, and double NASA's budget.
4] I'd be in the business of advancing humanity, whatever that takes.
5] what vacation?
6] Cats, many.
7] I wouldn't hide it, but I wouldn't make fuss about it either. It's a tool, nothing more.
8] Would you really want me to?
9] Whatever she wanted. Not my choice.
10] In orbit.
