Yesterday, I put on my big girl panties and went to see my eye doctor. I was supposed to go back in September to have my eyes dilated and photographed again since she was a little concerned about the results of those in June. I had to cancel that due to money and stuff.

Finally went yesterday.

So, in June Dr. Z had some concern about some blood spots in my eyes and wanted to keep an eye on them. Apparently this is an issue with diabetic patients. Yesterday my left eye was better, but she's still worried about two spots near the center of my right eye. So, she's referring me to a specialist. I need to call and make an appointment to do that.

She also prescribed me some eye drops for my allergy problem....that my insurance doesn't cover, so no eye drops for me. A little investigation offers me some over the counter options, which are expensive, but not nearly as expensive as $162/month.

And, she didn't do the contact lens exam because I developed a stye on my eye the days before. So...that will wait until I go back in June for my regular check up.

So then let's hope that doesn't set a precedent for Tuesday's dentist appt.

In other news, I got my second box from graze.com today. The last one was very yummy. This time I have some salt & black pepper pistachios, chili pumpkin and sunflower seeds, fruit & seed flapjacks and something called "my thai" which is a sweet chili dipping sauce with baked soy crackery things.

Today's lunch is veggies and dip because it is also bagel day and I knew I'd get all my day's carbs with breakfast.

I have thinky thoughts about International Women's Day...but not quite ready to articulate them.

It looks like no Jason Manns gig for me in two weeks. This saddens me, but is probably not a bad thing for the money situation.

I feel like I have ALL THE STORIES/WORDS in my head right now. Original fic, fan fic, poetry, non-fiction....it's all bubbling and swirling inside my head and I need to find a way to sort through it and make it work for me.

I have this very depressed Christian Kane in my head, sitting alone in a dark room with half a bottle of Jack and he hasn't moved in hours and hasn't left the house in days, weeks even and he's just alone and not answering his phone or the door and his friends are scared for him and are mounting up a mission to break into his house to make sure he's still alive.

I have bits of that RPS/Justified story playing in a corner of my head, with Raylan and JDM after the world falls apart and Jensen and Danneel raising Jared and Genevieve's son and having a child of their own, and back story about JDM/Jared and something to do with Jared that I'm not really ready to go into at the moment.

I have this whole, probably 5000 word follow on to the story in which Steve is a vampire and Christian was his valet until they broke rules and Steve sent Chris away...and there's a lot of hot and angst and anger and danger and sexy hot bloodplay.

I have a sequel to The Kid partially written and all angsty...

I am currently writing a Chris/Steve with supporting cast that includes David Boreanaz, Beth Riesgraf, Jensen Ackles, Danneel Harris, and Riley Smith that is actually a sequel to something I wrote a year ago.

There's the story I started on last year sometime that just came bubbling up in my head yesterday. Fantasy sort of thing. Need to work out some detail.

I think I figured out the wrong turn I took on Rysykk's.

I have an outline for the non fiction book. Well. I think I do. I keep changing it.

And really, that's my weekend sorted. House cleaning and writing. All weekend. Preferably in a way that doesn't lead to Saturday's work leaving my Sunday shot because I can't move.

Now you:

1) How often do you actually go see your eye doctor?
2) What about the dentist?
3) What are you very particular about?
4) What's on your desk right now?
5) Moose or Reindeer?
6) Baked potato or french fries?
7) Name a song that makes you stop what you're doing every time you hear it.
8) Name a song that makes you turn up the volume.
9) ROAD TRIP: You and me in a car:
a) Where are We going?

I have time to play now, much too late for you to actually be helped by this. *g* Oh, well, it's the thought that counts.

1) How often do you actually go see your eye doctor? About every two years. Although I now have vision insurance, so maybe I'll get to go yearly. Macular degeneration runs in my family, so that would be good.

2) What about the dentist? Haven't been in at least 3 years, though my kid goes yearly, at least. No insurance for it and very limited budget.

3) What are you very particular about? Not a lot to be honest. Well, some of my writing stuff, I guess. I like my things arranged just so on my screen, for instance.

4) What's on your desk right now? A ton of paperwork that needs to be gone through and filed, yarn and a crochet hook, a basket with little items I don't want to lose and a beer. *g*

5) Moose or Reindeer? Um, not to be offensive to anyone, but am I eating or admiring? I'll eat reindeer before moose, but I like to watch moose more, I guess because they aren't around here.

6) Baked potato or french fries? Usually baked potato, but depends on my mood.

7) Name a song that makes you stop what you're doing every time you hear it. "Total Eclipse of the Heart". Yes, I'm that type. *g*

8) Name a song that makes you turn up the volume. "Friends in Low Places". I'm a redneck. *nods sagely*

9) ROAD TRIP: You and me in a car:
a) Where are We going? *shrugs* Doesn't matter, the point is the trip, not the destination. But that said, I do like a destination eventually. *g*

b) What music is playing? I like a lot of kinds of music, so you could probably pick first and then we'd find some common ground.

c) What are we doing when we get there? I like to soak up the local culture, or find the pretty things- flea markets, museums, thrift stores, bookstores, etc.

d) Dinosaurs on the side of the road: stopping or not? Sure, why not?

e) "Scenic Spot" ahead: stopping or not? Absolutely!

f) STRIPPERS: stopping or not? Depends on the time and the neighborhood, but I'm not opposed. *g*

g) How many hours before we're loopy and silly? Um, one? If things are going well? *g*

h) Tippy, tippy truck? I have no idea what that means, sorry.

i) Muppets? *adores*

10) Bare feet or slippers? Usually bare feet, but if it's really cold, slippers.
