Ugh and stuff

So...my body clearly thinks it needs to cut an escape through my spine for my ovaries. I haven't had this kind of menstrual pain in my life.

In other news, I have embarked on a mission to learn German. No, don't ask me why. It just seemed like a good idea. And then I found duolingo.com....and well...I've spent HOURS every day this week there, learning....and I seem to actually BE learning. Every day my retention of what I learned the day before is improving. In three days I have a 178 word vocabulary, and I can talk about some foods and some clothing, and use the verbs eat, drink, wear, swim, bring, read, know, walk, talk, need, see, sleep...and more that are escaping me at the moment.

I think it's also helping that badfalcon is playing along and we are using our lessons to speak to each other in chat every day.

In job news, there is no news. I've had a few interviews that haven't gone anywhere. Every day I hit the job boards though. Something will break soon, I'm sure of it.

In the meantime I'm writing, learning German and planning the crazy shenanigans to come.
