Soon, there will be long drives and good friends and good music to be had. I just have to get through the next 4 days.

This Saturday consisted of a lot of nothing. Well, that's not true exactly. I worked on an afghan I decided last week I HAD to make for my step mother. In my true fashion, I can't follow the pattern exactly and had to improvise, LOL. It is done in 9 panels, each a different color. I'm not sure it will be wide enough when it's done though, so I may pick up one more skein of the first color to add a few more inches. But that will depend on how much time I have to finish.

I am on the last row of the sixth color. I hope to finish that and the seven rows of the seventh color tonight. Then hopefully the eighth and ninth colors tomorrow. If I do, I will pick up the extra skein on Wednesday and do those rows and start the trim. Which means possibly finishing the trim on the road...but whatever.

In other news, last night I started watching Vikings on ON Demand. Why wasn't I watching this before? Pirate seems particularly pleased with this. I think I watched the first 3 episodes yesterday.

I am working on the last chapter of "Daddy's Job"....finally. It sort of...twisted on me and um...maybe involves a new playmate. Except I don't write Jonah. Damnit.

Also percolating in my head is a chapter of the Justified/RPS crossover world, and a chapter of the Vampire!Steve world...and I have a White Collar thing started, and a sequel to The Kid started....and Brain is busily percolating new ideas all the time.

And there are at least two more Daddy stories bubbling on the back burner at the moment also.

I have thinky, thoughtful ideas growing towards words with regards to depression, and how I see mine, and how I see others'....and why I can't reconcile them together...but I may not get them out just yet. Right now they're just vague notions without concrete form.

I have insane deadlines to meet this week, so I should get back to wrestling words and pictures into comprehensible formats.

I leave you with this:

1) What is your oldest possession?
2) Chocolate Cake?
3) *Points to the Right* What's over there?
4) You're running out of the house for a quick errand, what do you HAVE to take with you?
5) You're going out of town for a week. What's in your luggage?
6) What's the furthest you've been from what you consider "home"?
7) What's the most adventurous thing you've ever eaten?
8) Who is the first person you call when you have good news?
9) What is your specialty?
10) Can I has JDM? Pretty please?

I'm starting to think we're both just gonna have to come to terms with the fact we do indeed write Jonah. *nods*

1) My stuffed dog, Goldie. He's like 29 years old
2) Yes please
3) *looks* bedside table with glass, deodorant, clock, candle, tigers eye, hair bands. then there's two external hard-drives, a book, a pizza delivery leaflet, three pairs of shoes and my door - with Riley picture
4) keys, phone, inhaler, purse, ipod
5) not much. toiletries, clean jeans, clean t-shirts, pjs
6) Probably LA/San Francisco
7) I'm not really an adventurous eater. Too wary for that, I'm afraid
8) um. actually, probably you
9) Not sure I has one
10) You'll have to ask Hilarie. If she's says its ok, then of course you can.

1) What is your oldest possession? Probably my teddy bear or childhood blanket.
2) Chocolate Cake? Absolutely.
3) *Points to the Right* What's over there? A guy studying in a carrel.
4) You're running out of the house for a quick errand, what do you HAVE to take with you? Housekey in left front pocket, wallet in back right, phone in back left (or right front jacket pocket); iPod debatable on length of errand.
5) You're going out of town for a week. What's in your luggage? Jeans, dress shirts, ties, trousers, hair product, toothpaste/toothbrush, sleep pants + t-shirt
6) What's the furthest you've been from what you consider "home"? I was going to say where I studied abroad, but then remembered I traveled further East! Saint Petersburg wins!
7) What's the most adventurous thing you've ever eaten? Homemade quail soup, I think. I've had a lot of different things presented to me when dining at sushi restaurants, I'm sure some of that qualifies. And caviar.
8) Who is the first person you call when you have good news? I'd text G or M, then my parents. Maybe reverse that order sometimes.
9) What is your specialty? Deflecting with sarcasm, over-analyzing, baking uniformly round cookies.
10) Can I has JDM? Pretty please? If he consents.

Jason has been watching this faithfully. I tend to see it out of the corner of my eye but not to watch because of the violence. I am waiting to have time to watch The Soup so that I can see it on there.

It's the violence that draws me, I'll be honest. Well, and the pretty people. We all know I like pretty people...and the brother and the wife are very pretty (I haven't learned all the names yet obviously)...and Gabriel Byrne as a bad guy doesn't hurt at all.
